About
Nestled on the tranquil shores of a seven-kilometre lagoon and fringed by lush coastal forest, Zinkwazi Lagoon Lodge offers a variety of accommodation options to suit different types of stays. Guests can choose from hotel suites with en-suite bathrooms, self-catering lagoon chalets featuring two bathrooms and kitchen facilities (ideal for families of up to six) and forest campsites beneath the trees for a truly nature-immersed experience. The lodge’s property is spread across terraced forest grounds and features a central recreational lawn set beside the pool, making it easy to relax or keep the kids entertained. Zinkwazi Lagoon Lodge’s facilities are extensive and designed for both comfort and fun. You’ll find a swimming pool & pavilion surrounded by tropical foliage, a restaurant (the Raffia) and Havana Bar overlooking the lagoon, a private jetty with boat slipway for water access, movie theatre for children, and dedicated ablution and laundry blocks throughout the grounds. When it comes to activities, there’s no shortage of ways to engage with the environment. The calm lagoon allows for boating, pedal-boats or canoes, day cruises, and fishing (with permits) while the nearby beach is accessible via ferry when conditions allow. Bird-watching walks, forest hikes, game drives and even golfing within reach make this a rich escape for both nature lovers and active families. Whether you’re after a self-contained holiday base, a family adventure in nature, or a quiet hideaway by the lagoon, Zinkwazi Lagoon Lodge delivers on both comfort and exploration.

2 months agoThe location is great, its right on the lagoon. The lagoon chalets need a little TLC in some areas (lights flashing, water damage in cupboards, loose toilet handle etc. ) but were very neat, clean and had everything you need for a comfortable weekend. The rooms are serviced, but the cleaner told us if we wanted the dishes washed that that would cost extra. The resort facilities were good, however, staff are not very accommodating if you want to do an activity. We tried to book a sunset cruise but were told we had to book the day before (2 hours in advance is not sufficient).

3 weeks agoHonestly that spot gets better and better every time we go back. Some super upgrades going on there. Staff are super lekker and the padel is such a highlight. Loving spending time there. Kids have a proper jol too which is always a serious plus.

a month agoMy wife & I are camping here now, 25/09/2025 to 28/09/2025. If we'd known that it was a party location we'd have stayed at home! The ENTIRE point of camping is to leave the noise behind, but sadly & much to our disappointment, if it's not other campers playing loud music till late into the night, it's like a weekend beach parking lot at month end! I doubt we'll be back to this location any time soon. Which is also sad because we only live a stones throw away from Zinkwazi & were hoping for a regular relaxing, quiet camping site to declutter & unwind. Very dissaponted!!

4 months agoNoisy, stinky and unkept. Disgusting dump site fires burning the whole week despite our complaints. Plastic bottles and bags lying around. Ablutions have been renovated but are cleaned maybe once in two days. Generally the staff do not care, except for the restaurant, which was a pleasant and friendly experience. Very disappointed.
